Rev. Debra Baker (Rev Deb) was ordained at her childhood church, Wesley United, in St. John’s, Newfoundland on May 28, 2006, after obtaining her Master of Divinity degree from Atlantic School of Theology. She has served pastoral charges in Norton/Apohaqui/King’s Kirk, Saint John, and Woodstock, New Brunswick. In her life before ministry, Debra had a career in accounting and information systems. She has four grown children – Stephen (Ottawa), Rebecca (Saint John), Jon (St. John’s), and Nick (St. John’s) – as well as two wonderful grandsons – Miles and Mason. She is thrilled to be serving the congregation of Mountain View United Church in Moncton and looks forward to meeting and working with the people here.
Mark Lloyd, a talented musician, is organist and choir director at Mountain View. In addition to playing piano and organ, and directing the choir, he welcomes and utilizes the musical talents of others in the congregation through the use of guitars, drums, and other instruments. Together, he and the choir produce uplifting and inspiring music for our Sunday services.
Liz Simmons is the office administrator at Mountain View. In addition to her expertise in running all aspects of the church office, she often uses her skills in interior decoration to decorate the sanctuary and church hall. Her many talents are very much appreciated.
Carson McDavid returns to our church family as our custodian after a few years of retirement. We are happy to have him back keeping our building clean and organized. He also looks after our audio/visual area. Thank you for all your hard work, Carson!
