Rev. Mary MacPhersonMinister
Rev. Mary MacPherson has been minister at Mountain View since 2003. The mother of two girls, she leads a busy life looking after her own family plus shepherding her church flock. Rev. Mary is a caring and compassionate pastor who shares in the joys and sorrows of the congregation that she serves. Her sermons are both thought-provoking and inspiring. Though currently out on sick leave, we look forward to her return to Mountain View with anticipation.
Rev. Danny ComptonInterim Worship Leader
Rev. Danny Compton is our current worship leader at Mountain View replacing Rev. Mary while she is on sick leave. His warmth and compassion are evident as he visits church members and welcomes them on Sundays. Rev. Danny delivers inspirational services with knowledge and humour. He also shares his musical talents with the congregation. Rev. Danny is a great asset to the congregation and we are happy to have him with us.
Mark LloydOrganist
Mark Lloyd, a talented musician, is organist and choir director at Mountain View. In addition to playing piano and organ, and directing the choir, he welcomes and utilizes the musical talents of others in the congregation through the use of guitars, drums, and other instruments. Together, he and the choir produce uplifting and inspiring music for our Sunday services.
Liz SimmonsOffice Administrator
Liz Simmons is the office administrator at Mountain View. In addition to her expertise in running all aspects of the church office, she often uses her skills in interior decoration to decorate the sanctuary and church hall. Her many talents are very much appreciated.
Carson McDavidCustodian
Carson McDavid left retirement to become custodian at Mountain View. Besides keeping the church facility spotless, he operates the sound system and prepares slides to accompany and enrich the Sunday service. His many talents are also appreciated.
Pastor David EaglesDesignated Lay Minister
David Eagles grew up at Mountain View and in the early eighties entered into lay ministry. In 1995 “Pastor Dave” was officially recognized as a Designated Lay Minister by Maritime Conference of The United Church of Canada. After 30 years of active part-time and full-time ministry David retired back to Mountain View where he serves in a part-time capacity with Rev. Danny Compton.
